25 For 25

I, the G-Man, am turning 25 on Thursday, July 23rd of this year. When I turned 21 four years ago, I counted down each of the days by posting a picture of an athlete wearing the number in correspondence to how many days were remaining until the big day. This time around, I’ve decided to go even bigger: ranking each of the sporting years I have been alive for in a Top 25 Poll.

Rules:

• A “sporting year” will be within the calendar year (January 1st – December 31st) with one exception: football. For instance, the Patriots won the most recent Super Bowl which was played on February 1st, 2015. However, they considered the Champions of the 2014 NFL Season. I will be following this rule. Same goes for College Football.
• Each year will list off the Champions of each of the four major sports in North America, the NCAA Football and Basketball Champions, as well as each of the Champions of golf’s four majors. Other sporting events will be listed when applicable.
