(CSN Philly) – The Evil Genius crew’s long anticipated brewery is set to open along Front Street in Fishtown at the end of the month and they should have Trust the Process IPA on tap when it does. “We really wanted to brew this beer because with us opening in Philadelphia and being such big sports fans,” Evil Genius founder Trevor Hayward told Philly Voice. “We went through our own process expanding the company and especially building the brewery. I think people are going to enjoy it – maybe we can remind Sixers fans that sometimes patience pays off.” The Trust the Process beer is an Oat IPA that they say is brewed with Galaxy and Amarillo hops.
First Ghost Bear beer and now this!? I can’t believe what I’m reading. I smell a new Matty D’s Beer Corner coming *cough* Matt *cough.* Philly has been going through a beer renaissance over the past few years and will continue to with the various tasting rooms opening in Fishtown and Yards’ new facility opening on Spring Garden Street but the sports-themed beers are the perfect way to tie the culture of Philadelphia together. Sports and Beer-everyone’s favorite combination. Hopefully Evil Genius can be convinced to brew a follow up Shirley Temple flavored beer named after Joel Embiid. A Sixers-themed variety pack is something I need in my life.
