Not the best Week 9 for me as I left with a losing record. Poor judgement on my part but hey, its the effort that counts right? Worse is that I lost to my roommate, JRod, in fantasy and I had the 2nd highest point total of the week. Heading to the Eagles game later which better end in a Philly victory! Go Birds baby!

Here’s where we stand now:

G-Man Wins Week 9 7-6 to 5-8, leads series 5-4
G-Man Overall: 80-51
Matty D Overall: 79-52

Detroit at Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers just lost two games in a row. Rodgers doesn’t lose two games in a row. So he certainly won’t lose three games in a row. Also the Lions are bad.

The Pick: Packers

Dallas at Tampa Bay

Dallas is a mess right now and Greg Hardy and Dez Bryant are the epicenter. Too much emotion for not enough victory. It gets even uglier when a rookie QB beats them for their 7th straight loss.

The Pick: Buccaneers

Carolina at Tennessee

This game will be better than expected because the Titans offense will have a little success against the very good Panthers D. But the Tennessee defense won’t be able to hold up against the ground game led by Newton and Stewart.

The Pick: Panthers

Chicago at St. Louis

The Rams lost a big, big game last week. Chicago was a surprising victor on Monday Night. Look for the Rams to swarm Jay Cutler and Todd Gurley to mash a weak Bears D as the Rams stay in the wildcard hunt.

The Pick: Rams

New Orleans at Washington

Really don’t even want to watch this game. Brees is better than Cousins so I’m taking the Saints on the road.

The Pick: Saints

Miami at Philadelphia

The Eagles can begin to quiet doubters and regain the city’s confidence with a win here. I think it will be close because of Jarvis Landry but the Birds have enough of a ground game with their three-headed backfield to earn a good victory over Dan Campbell’s Dolphins.

The Pick: Eagles

Cleveland at Pittsburgh

Manziel is starting but Pittsburgh is playing for their playoff lives, even this early in the season. Landry Jones and DeAngelo Williams shine as the “Replacements”.

The Pick: Steelers

Jacksonville at Baltimore

Weird to say both these teams are bad because the Ravens have spent the better part of the last decade as a perennial playoff team. But yeah, they don’t have it this year. That being said Joe Flacco is still Joe Flacco so I’m going Baltimore here.

The Pick: Ravens

Minnesota at Oakland

Great to see both these teams relevant again and fighting for playoff position. The Vikings had a huge win last week but I see Oakland taking it to them at home. The Black Hole will be rocking Sunday and Amari Cooper will dominate like he has all year. Love seeing the Raiders back in contention.

The Pick: Raiders

New England at New York

Yeah, the Giants have no pass rush, even with JPP back. Also Tom Brady is the GOAT and New England is the best team in football.

The Pick: Patriots

Kansas City at Denver

Denver rebounds after their poor defensive showing last week. The Chiefs D keeps it close by hitting Manning all day but a late touchdown pass from Manning to Emmanuel Sanders is the difference.

The Pick: Broncos

San Diego Chargers v Denver Broncos

Arizona at Seattle

My pick as the best game of the weekend on Sunday Night. Arizona is a heck of a team and on a neutral field they would win but playing against the 12th Man is a different story. Seattle makes enough plays and hinders a good Cardinals defense to get a much needed divisional victory.

The Pick: Seahawks

G-Man is going with Arizona here, loves that Bruce Arians hipster vibe.

Houston at Cincinnati

This game is going to be close, very, very close. Houston is a tough team and Brian Hoyer is a fighter. But Cincy is too stacked across the board, especially in a big Monday Night showdown. The Bengals remain undefeated.

The Pick: Bengals
