Matty D’s 2015 Week 9 NFL Cold Hard Locks Featuring the G-Man

Week 9 Cold Hard Locks

usa-today-8905443.0

Well well, Matty D is returning to form. Back on top, tied back up, victory is in my blood. Another big week in Pick’Ems as well as in the NFL. I need to keep on rolling while the Eagles need to stomp on the Cowboys’ faces on Sunday Night. I have high hopes, which is always a bad idea as a Philly fan.

Here’s where we stand now:

Matty D Wins Week 8 10-4/8-6; Series Tied 4-4
Matty D Overall: 74-44
G-Man Overall: 73-45

Raiders at Steelers

I’m sure this game looked a little different for both teams back in August. Now the Raiders look to be taking the next step forward while the Steelers look a little lost. But this is Pittsburgh and Big Ben is back. Expect him and Antonio Brown to show Carr and Cooper up just a little for a huge Steeler victory.

The Pick: Pittsburgh

G-Man is taking the upstart Raiders.

Packers at Panthers

Game of the week here. Carolina is legit but Rodgers got embarrassed last week. I expect him to come out swinging and keep the battle for home field in the playoffs alive and well. This is Aaron Rodgers we are talking about here.

The Pick: Green Bay

G-Man is going with SuperCam and the Panthers.

Redskins at Patriots

Yeah, Captain Kirk has no chance against Captain America. Pats march on.

The Pick: New England

Titans at Saints

New coach, same result for the Titans. Brees has found the fountain of youth again and will feast on a poor Tennessee defense.

The Pick: New Orleans

Jaguars at Jets

Blake Bortles is going to have a long game but so will whoever is playing QB for the Jets. I’m feeling a field goal only type of game here with a defensive touchdown making the difference for Gang Green.

The Pick: New York

Rams at Vikings

Wildcard contenders clash here. Both teams are underrated on both sides of the ball although Todd Gurley and Adrian Peterson certainly don’t go unnoticed. I like the Rams D just a little better though and see this close game coming down to the wire.

The Pick: St. Louis

G-Man is taking the Vikings.

Dolphins at Bills

The Bills are starting to look like the pre-Dan Campbell Dolphins, a trainwreck. The Dolphins swat aside an overrated Buffalo defense and pick up an important divisional victory even without Cameron Wake.

The Pick: Miami

G-Man is taking the Bills, circle dem wagons!

Falcons at 49ers

Kinda an awful game but fun to watch the San Fran-Blaine Gabbert train wreck; Atlanta is somewhat cooling off but the 49ers are that bad.

The Pick: Atlanta

Giants at Buccaneers

Giants keep losing defenders and the Bucs have shown resilience. Home victory for Tampa Bay.

The Pick: Tampa Bay

Broncos at Colts

I really want to take Andrew Luck. He is a good quarterback. But Denver is a really good team with the best defense in football. Game is close with Luck making a late rally but the Broncos seal it with a late pick.

The Pick: Denver

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (9) hits the deck for a sack under fierce pressure from Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry (75) in the second quarter during the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Dallas Cowboys NFL football game on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Eagles at Cowboys

It can’t get worse for the Eagles than it did back in Week 2. Matt Cassel is awful and this defense is playing better. I see the ground game getting more success and Dez Bryant getting more frustrated. Special teams will win this one though, Darren Sproles will do something magical in Jerry World.

The Pick: Philadelphia

Bears at Chargers

Terrible Monday Night game. Chargers have a ton of offense, the Bears have the league’s worst defense. Rivers connects even without his top target Keenan Allen. Melvin Gordon finally gets on track and lives up to his draft day hype as San Diego rolls over Da Bears.

The Pick: San Diego

Chargers+Melvin+Gordon+Seahawks
