Matthew Stafford Mic’d Up in the Lions’ Final Drive Against the Cowboys is Incredible

Well Saturday’s picks went horrible for me and Lehigh got demolished by Bucknell, eh huh huh huh.

Sunday went better, although Matt and I picked the same results for the NFL this week (AND he called the score of the Pats/Dolphins game) so I’ll lose more ground this week because I went for the upset.

One game we did get right yesterday came from an absolutely amazing final drive by the Detroit Lions to defeat the Dallas Cowboys, 31-30. The drive was capped off by QB Matthew Stafford leaping over the linemen after signaling (and yelling) that he was going to spike the ball. Luckily for us,  Stafford was Mic’d Up:

This is why I love sports.  Incredible.

  1. May have been a known call. Every other time he yelled “clock it”, the last time he just yelled “clock”. Doesn’t sound like a difference but a lot of teams use stuff like “stop clock” or “spike” as variations that are actually audibles
