CBS Sports Reports that the NBA Owners have approved to change the format of the NBA Finals to a 2-2-1-1-1 instead of the 2-3-2 format that we’ve grown accustomed to. While it causes more travel for the teams , it does even out the Finals the same way it does in every other round of the NBA Playoff. It makes me wonder why didn’t the league do this sooner?  I won’t be seeing the Sixers affected by this format anytime soon, but it should make for longer NBA Finals series.
